This policy describes how the Lyrixound desktop app for Windows handles information. It is written by Andrei Arekhva. For questions, email a.arekhva@gmail.com.

Lyrixound does not create a user account and does not ask you to sign in to the app.

What stays on your PC

The app reads the current track from Windows media information (System Media Transport Controls) so it can show lyrics for what is playing. Settings, window position, and overlay appearance are stored on your device (typically under your Windows user data folder, or next to the app for the portable build).

If you turn on autosave, lyrics may be written as .lrc or .txt files in a folder you choose.

Lyrics search

When the app searches for lyrics, it sends the artist and title (and related query details needed to match a song) to lyrics sources you have enabled. By default those can include LrcLib, Musixmatch, Genius, lyrics.ovh, and files in a local folder. Those services process the request under their own policies. Opening a lyrics source in your browser uses that site as usual.

Audio recognition

If you use audio recognition, the app can capture system audio and send it to Shazam-based recognition to identify the track. This only happens when you use that feature.

Purchases

Lyrixound Pro is a one-time purchase through the Microsoft Store. Payment and license are handled by Microsoft. Lyrixound does not receive your card number.

Support email

If you write to the support address, we see the content of that email and whatever address you send from, so we can reply.

What we do not do

The app does not show ads. We do not sell your personal information.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
